On May 28 M.C. Records proudly released  the new recording by hot slide guitarist, singer, songwriter, Joanna Connor. The Joanna Connor Band  is her first recording for M.C. Records after spending a number of years with Blind Pig Records and her first recording in four years. The Joanna Connor Band CD is her most inclusive release to date with R&B, Rock & Blues influences. Ten of the fourteen songs on the CD are Joanna Connor originals and her guitar playing is puts her in the league of the elite. This CD is far more accessible than any of her previous recordings and M.C. Records has been working on getting her the main stream success that this recording deserves. Besides her top notch songwriting she covers, War, Grandmaster Flash and Sam Cooke.

A single mom with two kids,  Joanna was about to give about on the music business. She was studying to be a teacher when a chance meeting with M.C. Records' owner Mark Carpentieri convinced her to try one more time.
