This CD, mostly previously unreleased cuts from the 50's and 60's, reveals the great prowess of Texas native Katie Webster.  It's hard to understand why Webster never completely arrived.  This is good time music, with Webster the Black Diva and pianist extraordinaire.  Early R & B, boogie woogie and Louisiana style blues is what you'll find here, straight ahead as recorded in Jay Miller's studio in LA, where Webster was the studio pianist.  A great find for the collector.
