Kim Wilson, the lead vocalist and harmonica player for the American Roots band, The  Fabulous Thunderbirds, has signed with M.C. Records to release his first full-length solo live recording ever.  The new release --  titled Smokin' Joint-- hit the stores July of  2001.   Several concerts were recorded for this project but only the finest 100% unadulterated blues will make the cut. Look for Rusty Zinn and Billy Flynn to add their fiery guitar playing to Kim Wilson's rich vocals and deep harmonica playing. This is Wilson's first solo recording since 1997 and his first full-length live recording ever. Log onto our website for more, www.mc-records.com

Kim Wilson became a Grammy nominated superstar with his charismatic vocal strength of his ground breaking R&B-based rock & roll hits (Wrap It Up, Tuff Enough), recorded with his world renowned group The Fabulous Thunderbirds. His new live recording will be a testament to that commitment. Kim Wilson was titled by Muddy Waters as "the best harmonica player to come along since Little Walter."
